Evanston Campus Framework Plan

Ricardo Dumont, principal of Sasaki Associates, will present plan highlights at McCormick Auditorium in the Norris Center:
• September 30 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm
• October 1, noon-1:30 pm and 5:30-7:00 pm

A presentation to the Evanston community will be made the evening of October 16 at the Evanston Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Avenue.

ASG Senate: May 28th

Wednesday in the Northwestern Room (2nd floor Norris) promises to be an exciting meeting. Here's a sneak preview of the business that's going to steal the show:

  • ASG Senator Amendment: The Senate will vote on adding 2 additional Senators to help equalize representation of the Greek community.
  • ASG Organizational Reform: The Senate will vote on the proposed amendments to the Constitution and Code. You can view the proposed changes here (Zip file, 7.7MB).

ASG Executive Board Applications for 2008-2009 are available for download here. Applications are available for three appointed positions:

  • External Relations Director
  • Communications Director (who chairs the Campus Public Relations Committee)
  • Technology Director

This Week in Senate 2/27/08

- Michael Hsu was appointed and confirmed to a vacant seat on the SAFB.
- A bill concerning group executive accountability for Executive Committee members was passed and added to the ASG code.
- The 2008 Campus-Wide Election Guidelines (for the elections of the President, Executive VP, Academic VP, and Student Services VP) were confirmed.
- President Jonathan Webber submitted the ASG budget for a vote next week.


Next Week in Senate:
- The members of the Election Commission will be elected next week in senate. Any undergraduate student is eligible to serve on the commission; however, no candidates or campaign staff may serve.
-The ASG Budget submitted by Jonathan Webber will be voted on.

This Week in Senate 2/13/08

This Week in the ASG Senate: · -The senate approved the appointment of Seva Rodnyansky as the new Financial Vice President. · -The senate voted to uphold the SAFB decision to de-recognize the Flickr Film Festival as an A-status group. · -$21,420.80 was allocated to B-status student groups. · -The senate passed a bill to lobby the administration to change the university's non-discrimination policy to include "gender identity and expression." Additionally, the bill changes the ASG non-discrimination policy for group recognition to include "gender identity and expression, parental status, disability, citizenship, or veteran status."
